A
Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor is...
-
A respected conservation leader, elected by county residents to
represent them in charting the course for soil and water
conservation and natural resources management.
-
The guide for the district, its staff, and cooperating agencies in
efforts to implement a conservation program in the county which
addresses management and conservation of soil, water and related
resources. Supervisors have an interest in conservation,
enthusiasm and dedication, and adequate time to serve.
-
Elected to a three-year term as a public official and serves
without pay.
-
A conservation leader. Although serving as an SWCD
supervisor takes time and energy, thousands of supervisors have
found the many rewards of serving far outweigh the sacrifices.
