Streambank Stabilization

Bank Stabilization and channel alignment with seeding and straw mulch to protect the road. Bank stabilization.  Wooden revetment with outlets for field drainage tile.

Bank stabilization.  Permeable revetments constructed of piling, rock, concrete, trees, or other materials are examples of protection which will cause sediment deposition.  Revetments are placed on or parallel to the bank and are designed to reduce the velocity of water flow so that erosion will be halted.

Willow posting.  Willows taking root to provide a living streambank protection.  A revetment of willow postings will slow water velocity and allow sediment to deposit. Bank stabilization.  Revetment with evergreen trees and willow postings.
