Pond - A water impoundment made by constructing a dam or an embankment or by excavating a pit or dugout for the purpose of providing water for livestock, fish and wildlife, recreation, fire control, crop and orchard spraying and other related uses, and to maintain or improve water quality.

Pickaway SWCD offers a fish fingerling sale once a year. It is advertised in our January Newsletter each year. The sale runs from the end of January through the middle of March. 2008 Fish Fingerling Order Form Not available yet - check back in January.

Fathead Minnow-a forage fish; can grow to 3"; readily consumed by predatory species.
